To Atlantic

  April 20,2021

I want to thank you for providing professional and timely attention to my project. I had an issue with a residential plan design and couldn't get the architect to correct it. From the initial phone contact thru county approval of the plan design you and your wife were very personable and helpful. Your knowledge of what was needed to pass inspection as well as design ideas were indicative of your passion for what you do. You demonstrated that this is not just a job for you. You cared about us as people and were committed to ensuring the plan design was successful. I look forward to the House completion Thank you and continued success to your company.

Please post this review on your website. Everyone needs to know how great you and your wife are.

Yes!!! We ABSOLUTELY love it! It’s perfect, and even prettier than we were envisioning. THANK YOU for talking with me today, and for being so patient with our back and forth. Looking forward to the final House.

VERY SATISFIED - Child Development Academy,

 March 12, 2021

Hello, my name is Shahid R Shabazz, owner of Allusions Barbershop, located inside of SouthPark Mall, Colonial Heights VA.

I started another business venture inside of SouthPark Mall, Shaping Up Our Future Child Development Academy. I planned on opening my new venture within a month, I had my open house sessions set up, families enrolling and excited until we ran into a major roadblock. The city required us to obtain blueprints for the building before we could open our doors since we were changing the use.

Nervous and scared could not start to describe how I felt at this point, how could I ever open within a month now? I have never used an architect, never had the need for blueprints but I HAD to get this well needed child academy opened asap. I always heard that architects were very expensive and the process takes a long time to complete because of the complexity of what they have to do. This knowledge alone increased my fear of opening on time, how could I break the news to all the families, how could I tell my staff who already left their previous careers to start this journey with me? The pressure was on.

A friend who deals in real estate told me of a couple that he met at some kind of event that develops custom homes as well as creating blueprints. He passed me their card and I immediately called them and googled a few more to call after that so I could research the best price and service.

After explaining to David and Jennifer that I was in a terrible situation, they assured me that they would do everything in their power to get me what I needed. They told me they were working on a few projects but would make time after their normal hours to pay me a visit in a couple of days. Because of their speed, the perfect explanation of what I needed and how confident they were in their work, it was a no brainer to deal with them.

After they came to my academy, took measurements, heard and saw my vision, they instantly praised me for the work we put in to bless the children in the Tri Cities area and agreed to expedite our drawings. They let me know that they would also notify their engineer of the importance of moving fast on this project. We got the ball rolling.

Communication with the White’s was very easy, they held my hand through the whole process and made me feel like my project was a priority. This was very important to me since this was my first rodeo and how fast I needed these prints. It was well into the project before I realized that we never discussed prices...now I was even more nervous, how could I start this with no knowledge of price other than my assumption that it would cost an arm and a leg plus my first born to get this completed.

A couple of weeks later, I received a call to come pick up my blueprints, they were done MUCH faster than expected, which was exactly what I needed. I slowly opened my invoice after I prayed several times that I didn’t make a huge error in not discussing price. To my surprise, the cost was lower than I would have ever imagined. They explained everything, they communicated with the city officials and even got them to move faster. The whole experience was amazing.

I am proud to say that after our final inspection next week, Shaping Up Our Future Child Development Academy will be enrolling children full time thanks to David and Jennifer White of Atlantic House Plans And Atlantic Custom Builders

Today, I attended the Savannah Remodeling show. I was hoping that I could find a company that could help me with my new home, My Dream home. To my delight I found a company that did just that!

I thought that by being the only company at the show, the design fee would be tremendously expensive! I stopped by the booth of Atlantic House Plans to ask a few questions, this company did more than that, they explained everything I could think of and even explained a lot more. David did not rush me he talked with me for a good while. After talking with David, I could tell he knows what he and his staff are doing; and the cost of their services were outstanding, and I am very excited, they are now designing my Dream Home! And  look forward to the home being finished.

Thank You for Being There,

To anyone who is in need of a company that really cares about you as a customer, I Met and Recommend – Atlantic Custom Builders!

We met David White at the October Home and Garden Show in Richmond held at the Richmond Race Way Complex. It was during our conversation with David, that his knowledge in the field of Building and Designing was Exceptional! We asked David and his wife Jennifer to Design and Build a new Master Bedroom Suite for our home.

David and his staff built our new Master Bedroom Suite, in the amount of time that was discussed and accomplished even with the rainy weather that we had experienced during the building time frame.

My husband and I very much appreciated how David and Jennifer answered all of our questions during the project and they kept us updated all the way through the project.

If you are looking for a company who really cares about you and your family’s needs, as well as your wants, Atlantic is that company!

We gave them a (5) Star Rating as a Company!

Thanks Again,

Dear Mr. White:

A few months ago, we met to discuss my ideas for building an addition to our home. During our conversation, you told me about an alternative building material to the normal wood frame construction, namely, “Foam Block”. At that time, I didn’t have a clue to what you were talking about! You made claims of how this was the “State of the Art” construction technology and that this building material provided the highest “R” factor of insulation possible along with it’s sound proofing capability. Believe me, I was very skeptical of this claim. Even after you had showed me the samples of the foam blocks, I still had my doubts. A week later, I saw a program on the Discovery Channel that highlighted the use of these “State of the Art” foam blocks in building construction Tornado-Proof homes in the mid-west. This was very impressive! So, I went with this; … you created the plans … and began construction. The addition to our home is now complete, and I just want to provide you with some feedback about the “State of the Art” foam blocks and my new addition.

1). Each day last week the temperature ranged between 21-39 degrees. Tuesday night the temperature in my new addition was 71 degrees. (Note: I did not open the new addition to my existing home at that time, it was still isolated from the existing structure). I turned the heat unit off at the breaker. Two (2) full days later, I checked the temperature. It was 64 degrees! This was unbelievable.

2). Sound-proofing ... even with the four (4) large custom windows in the 36’ x 24’ addition (also the 5’ glass door entry) noise from the outside is very, very minimal I noticed that while in my new addition I cannot hear the commercial jets flying overhead. I can still hear them in my existing structure. (I love quiet!)

3). As a general observation, when I walk into my new addition, I can tell there is a big difference in the sound between the use of the building materials; it is more than I expected.

I would like to thank you, Mr. White and your staff for your help.

                                                                                                              Dear David,                                                                                                                     January 25, 2007

We want to thank you and your staff once again for the excellent job you did with our plans. We are especially pleased with the personal and courteous manner in which you handled our project. Your attention to the details that we specifically desired to make the home the “dream home” we are hoping to build is what put you in a class all by yourself.

We had previously consulted with another designer and we were met with opposition through the initial phases of trying to put the design together. You took the time to listen and ask the important questions to be sure you understood what we wanted that is so very important. You were able to give us alternative suggestions on how to make our design work.

Throughout the entire process; from rough notes to finished blueprints; we always felt that we were “in control” of our project. Our impression was that your main concern was our satisfaction.

Finally, we want to add also, that for the excellent quality of the finished project your fees were within our budget and we feel that it was worth more. We thank you for going beyond the scope of just drawing the plans by also putting us in touch with other local suppliers for our building phase.

Delores conceived the design and did the initial layout. Even though this plan was Delores’ conception, your putting it into a viable package was invaluable.

When we start getting the ooos and aaahhs we will be certain to mention you.

A friend of our told us about Atlantic House Plans & Atlantic Custom Builders. At first, I didn’t realize that the companies are Family owned, and are a Faith based company! I think it is great to work with companies that are Faith based & Family owned and operated.

David and Jennifer White are the one’s who not only operate both companies, but they are the owners of both companies.

After only a brief discussion and as they asked us questions not only of what we needed in our home; but more importantly is how we needed for the home to function for our family.

Our conversation then expanded into the design for the size and shape of the home we wanted to have built.

We are writing this letter to provide our own testimony on our personal interaction with the White’s and what their knowledge was able to provide for our family when it came to the ultimate design and then to the full building project of our new home.

When my husband and I met with David and Jennifer, we were able to fully discuss our needs. It was during this same conversation they walked us through the full design and building process.

They did not mind answering any of our questions; they gave suggestions and advice throughout the whole process. Even though we have built 2 other homes, and as our family continues to grow our needs change, and our home was designed and was built to meet those needs.

For anyone even considering to begin designing and looking for a building company, I suggest for you to contact David and Jennifer White.

Thanks for Everything,

Recently we moved back to the area. I contacted Atlantic House Plans and requested for them to come to my home that we had just purchased, but I told them that the house is really nice but is missing something.

When Atlantic came to my house, I discussed to them how I thought the home needed. As we talked with David, he made suggestions that we realized could really help us make the home better for our family.

As David worked on the designing for the addition for the house; I also asked for recommendations for a building company. It was then that I realized David and Jennifer also are Licensed Class “A” Builders. Not only have I stumbled upon Atlantic House Plans, which is a great design company; but they also own Atlantic Custom Builders!

As the design process was taking place, I asked David to provide me with the cost of building the renovation for our house. I liked the number that was given to us; and I especially liked how David and Jennifer managed the full project.

Or home renovation project went really well. Everything went so well that we have asked the to design and build a 3-bay garage for us.

Look no further Atlantic House Plans & Atlantic Custom Builders are the companies to use!

Great Job!
